RI convention
If you have not yet registered for the RI Convention in Melbourne in May 2023, here’s how to get
the lowest price possible:

  1. Book as soon as possible and before 15 December, when the cost to register increases by US $100
  2. Make sure that you select the option when you come to pay with your credit card (preferred option) that you select AUD from the dropdown menu. This will ensure that you do not pay international commissions or incur a poor exchange rate

Help us to sort, pack and label items to assist refugees from the Afghan and Ukraine communities.
The beneficiaries arrive with virtually nothing in the way of possessions, so we are providing
clothing, furniture, bedding, household supplies, toys, bicycles, and appliances to supplement basic
government packages.

Volunteer spaces still available for the afternoon session from 12pm

Vacancies on membership and public image District teams
Have a passion and talent for getting people excited about Rotary and what it can do for them and
their community. The District membership and public image teams would love to hear from you. For
membership, please reach out to Jonathan Shepherd and for public image Amanda Wendt.

Grants from RC Balwyn – attention Committee Chairs
Any Rotary club in Australia can apply for a Centenary grant and in the first year of operation Balwyn
selected 4 projects - 2 in Australia and 2 international - and donated $120,000 to the winning clubs
to enable their projects to proceed.

Balwyn is in the fortunate position of having funds available from their Sunday market operation and
this Centenary Grants project was setup to celebrate Rotary's centenary in Australia and help other
Rotary clubs with their projects. Balwyn estimates that they will distribute over one million dollars in
the next 5-7 years.

If you are interested in a grant please contact RC Balwyn directly.

even more reason for us to treat each other professionally and courteously. You can find our policy
