The School of St Jude - Update
Dear George and everyone at the Rotary club of Camberwell,

I hope you are fine and everyone at the Rotary club of Camberwell. I and my family we are also fine. There are a lot of things I would like to share with you and everyone at the Rotary of Camberwell in this letter.

I started St. Jude in 2009 in Sisia campus and completed by primary level education in 2016, I managed to get the secondary scholarship whereby I started form one in 2017 Up to 2020 where I completed ordinary level secondary education then I managed to continue with advanced level secondary education which I completed in 2023.

In 2023 after completing my A level studies I got a chance to do community service year whereby I was volunteering at one of the schools found near our home of which it is a government school , the school is known as Muriet secondary school I volunteered as a commerce teacher and I was teaching form one there were 180 students who I was teaching them it was very interesting, and I really enjoyed giving back to the community it was an interesting year.

I am currently pursuing my degree of procurement and logistics management at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) which is located here in Arusha. The university has a very good environment that is conducive for learning. It is peaceful, and the facilities are well-organized, which makes studying here enjoyable which I find interesting and important for my future career.

My future goals are establishing a business using the knowledge which have got from school and also helping my community and also becoming successful businessman. My hobbies are reading books, watching movies, reading articles.

There are somethings I wish to know about you , like where are you from? Also, your family members and also more about the Rotary club of Camberwell. Lastly, I will like to thank you for sponsoring me. I am truly grateful for you supporting my education thanks a lot.

Happy new year to you and everyone at the Rotary club of Camberwell.

Love from

Denis Martin Mvungi

Camp Getaway Working Bee - 28th Feb 25 – 2 Mar 25
Camp Getaway provides a quality recreational camp experience for people of all abilities. The target groups assisted at Camp Getaway are people with disabilities and special needs.

The Rotary Club of Camberwell has booked the dates above and we will again be assisted by our former member and now retired painter – Andy Spry.

Thousands of voluntary hours have gone into redeveloping the site, which now includes self-contained units with full disabled facilities, modern dormitories and many other improvements.

This working bee at Camp Getaway is a weekend away and provides a great opportunity for club fellowship. As there is always refurbishment and maintenance activities to be done this is a great hands-on Community project for our Club.

Further information to follow.
